Making Hay

Making Hay

£65.00

Making Hay is my first book(!). It's also my most personal project so far. This year I returned to the wilds of Yorkshire where I grew up and spent the summer surrounded by the nature, history and mystery that raised me.

I walked the same paths and listened to the same rivers as I did when I was a kid, with a new awareness that only adulthood can bring; that "now" is not forever and "later" isn't guaranteed. We'd spend days without anything but an old camera and a pocketful of film, it was a freedom that I'd long forgotten existed.

The book is a love letter to home, a note-to-self about staying present, and above all else, was an excuse for us to spend the whole summer outside.
